Soul Restoration (retrieval)

In her private practice, Cariel Quinly, MA, CHT uses a special method called "Soul Retrieval" which is for releasing the trauma that binds you to the past and old dysfunctional behaviors. 

Traumas from sexual, physical, or emotional abuse, as well as accidents, wars, natural disasters, divorce, death of loved one, surgery, addictions, etc., can cause soul loss or life essence/vitality loss, such as loss of confidence, safety, self-esteem, enthusiasm, joy, being visible, etc.  Soul loss is like a defense mechanism called dissociation (psychological term).  It's how you survive the pain of trauma by disconnecting from your body.  A part of your soul's essence can be left stuck somewhere in limbo because of dysfunctional vows/decisions that were made during a present or past life trauma or death experience.  It can have a powerful negative effect on your current life situation causing illness and threatening your ability to survive and thrive. The end results can be dissociation or feeling disconnected from your body, chronic depression, suicidal tendencies, post traumatic stress syndrome, immune deficiency problems, grief that just doesn't heal and addictions to food, drugs, relationships, work, or buying material objects (trying to fill up the empty spaces inside).

The shamanic approach in such cases is to go into an altered state of consciousness and track down where the soul fled to in the alternate realities (present or past lives) and return it to the body of the client. I believe in a similar approach, however, through hypnosis I help you to connect to the dissociated missing part.

A client of mine had vowed never again to allow a part of his soul's vital essence to be visible for fear of repeating a past life trauma, the death to his family and himself. This had to be healed if he was to feel adequate, complete and fully functional in this life time. During his "Soul Retrieval" session he was able to connect to that part of himself that got lost and let it know the trauma is over and it's safe to return whole and to release the old feelings of guilt/inadequacy, as well as his dysfunctional vow to not to be all that he could be, his true self/soul.
